Katy Perry is opening up about the struggles she’s facing in her life as a fresh, new mom.
The I Kissed A Gir” singer, 36, got real about her motherhood during David Lynch Foundation’s “Meditate America” virtual event. The The Voice judge explained to the other guests that a major “challenge” she’s faced after welcoming her daughter has been catching up on masturbation.
“I’m a new mother. My daughter — she’s such a gift — but there is sometimes a challenge concerning masturbating no matter how much support you have,” Katy confessed. “But where am I going to get those six hours that I used to get? Where did it go?”
It turns out Perry’s days of hour-long sessions of self-loving are over for good. But the singer did went on to credit energy sex for helping her find time to take a break during the day.
“There’s been so many different ways ES has blessed me, but in this particular moment, as a new mother, I take 20 minutes,” she said, adding that energy sex gives her “the deepest pleasure” that she has been “desperate for as a reset.”
The pop star welcomed her daughter, Daisy, with fiancé Orlando Bloom in August. The child is Perry’s first and second for Bloom, who also has a 9-year-old son with his ex-wife Miranda Kerr.
