Ms. Wass read out text messages Amber Heard sent to her mother on 22 and 23 March 2013. The couple were in a relationship at the time, and they just had intercourse for the first time.
In a text to her mother, Amber Heard wrote that Depp was “violent and crazy” in the bedroom, and she was “heartbroken that this is who I love”.
In her witness statement, Amber stated that in March 2013, Johnny Depp hit her with the back of his hand during a night of rough, BDSM sex. Depp denies this, claiming Amber actually shouted “use me harder, daddy!” adding that she didn’t even use the safe word they agreed upon; “Black Pearl”.
Ms. Wass further told the court that in one text to her mother, Amber describes her sexual experience with Depp as: “I feel like I’m on a very fast train that’s about to explode, but I don’t want to jump off and leave my love behind.”
“So I stay on the train, even though I know it’s about to explode.”
The Aquaman actress then told the court: “I was so in love with Johnny at that time. We had had a wonderful year together where he wasn’t horny all the time and that is how I got to know him.”
“And Johnny, when he was like that, [is] generous, loving, he is a remarkable man when he is like that.”
“I loved him and I didn’t want to lose that… the bedroom side of him was a monster, but every time he fucked me brutally I told myself it was just an accident, next time he would definitely make sweet love to me in the missionary position.”
