Keira Knightley sets new boundaries regarding sexually explicit scenes in her movies. Apparently the face of Chanel is completely done with shooting sex scenes with partners of the opposite gender.

The English actress says she’s not interested anymore in doing love scenes with male actors and from now on, will only consider having lesbian sex instead.

In a recent interview on the Chanel Connects podcast, the Pirates of the Caribbean star admits she feels “uncomfortable trying to please the male genitals” .

The Oscar-nominated discussed the topic with filmmaker Lulu Wang and producer Diane Solway. The decision to stop having penetrative hetero intercourse on-screen comes as a result of having two children, she explained to them.

“I don’t have an absolute ban, but I kind of do with men,” Knightley explained. “I don’t want it to be … those rough penetration sex scenes where you’re all stuffed up in every hole and everybody is ejaculating. I’m not interested in doing that anymore.”

The Love Actually acknowledges that some movies will still need those kind of scenes for the plot. But for Knightley, she came to a point in her life where she is no longer interested in doing these projects. As a result the 35-year-old will only shoot tender lesbian sex scenes, and only if the film has themes relating to the “female orgasm experience.”

Knightley gave birth to her second daughter in 2019.
